It’s hard to believe, but 2015 is almost at a close, and what a year it’s been! A new baby Princess arrived, England spectacularly flunked at the rugby and water was discovered on Mars. For all the staff here at British Spirals & Castings, 2015 has been a particularly special year as it’s the first since we rebranded and launched our fantastic website.
As a truly British manufacturer, and family run business, our first priority has always been to provide our customers the best possible experience, from start to finish. The new website has made it easier than ever to view our complete and ever expanding product ranges, get in touch and to submit a quote and we’re extremely pleased to see how popular it’s been.
2015 has also a year of change. The team has welcomed in two new members to the manufacturing team, Tom Longden and Nyle Cresswell as well as Vicki Taylor who will be providing support to the management team in terms of administration and account support. It is however with great regret that we recently have learned that our much loved London based Sales Manager, Scott Rimmer, is leaving to take up an exciting position within his own family’s business. Anyone who has had the pleasure of working with Scott I am sure will join us in thanking him for his contribution and loyalty to the business over the years and wishing him all the best for the future!
Scott’s departure has given us an opportunity to consider how we can continue to deliver the best possible service in the future. One of the surprising findings that came to light was that 90% of people who order from us in 2015 never actually visited either of our showrooms. With more and more customers going digital, we have therefore decided to bring the curtain down on our London showroom.
The showroom will remain open until 3rd December 2015 for anyone who wants get down and have a look or of course if you want to go to say bye to Scott. Our dedicated team of fitters in London will still be able to provide all the services that we previously have done and all our staff have great knowledge of our product ranges and some of the difficulties that can arise within London conservation areas. It will very much be business as usual and Richard, Antonia and Ben look forward to hearing from you and assisting you further with your projects.
For those that feel that they wish to see and feel the products available, the Derbyshire showroom is only an hour and 40 minute train journey from London and may be an excuse to have a weekend away in the beautiful Peak District.
Of course, this decision and the year’s end doesn’t mean work is slowing down here at British Spirals & Castings, far from it, and plans are already well underway to capitalise on our successes in 2015 and make 2016 our best yet. We’re particularly excited to be exhibiting at the Homebuilding and Renovating Show in April and we can’t wait to unveil our amazing stand. Who knows, there may even be some sneak peeks right here on the blog.
