The height and diameter of the staircase are the two major variables on the price. If you do not currently have measurements, a price will be given based on building regulations guidelines and a floor to floor height of 2500 mm. Should you staircase not need to meeting building regulations, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will advise where savings can be made. A habitable room is defined as a space used for living, sleeping, eating, or cooking, or combinations thereof. It does not include bathrooms, closets, halls, storage rooms, utility and similar spaces. If your staircase is accessing a lounge and/or kitchen then larger width stairs are normally required under British Building Regulations.

What landing plate do you require?

Creating own (not possible with wooden handrails). If you choose to build your own landing, we will supply a bracket free of charge to make the connection from the metal centre column to the joists.

60 degree or 90 degree A square or triangular shaped landing either cut to flat or radius edge (for circular opening). The landing plate will match the style of the staircase.

Recessed landing We can supply a landing with a recess allowing the finished flooring to be run to the edge of the top step

The height and width of the staircase are the two major variables on the price. If you are unsure of your dimensions requirement, we will provide a price based on a 700 mm wide tread, a floor to floor height of 2500 mm and balustrade to one side of the staircase which will give you a good indication to the costs involved per tread.
