Our cast aluminium winder stairs offer a practical solution for a variety of areas where there isn’t space for a straight staircase. We can manufacture these stairs in our Victorian, Georgian (LCC) or Diamond patterns with a range of balustrades.
This type of design is particularly useful internally when you are accessing a room with a sloping ceiling and limited headroom, or externally when you need to change levels in limited spaces. The LCC kited staircases are very popular in tightly controlled conservation areas, such as Kensington and Chelsea, and provide great access to traditionally built airies, lightwells and basements.
Produced at our foundry in Staffordshire, they provide the high quality aesthetics of a cast iron staircase at a much lower weight.
All our staircases are bespoke, and we can tailor every aspect of the piece for your project, from spindle patterns to the choice of colour. Explore some of the design options for straight cast aluminium designs.

We can manufacture these stairs with either a kite or combination turn. A combination staircase uses straight forward spiral treads to create the turn, whereas kited staircases use flat edge patterns which follow the lines of a wall.

We are only able to offer a fitting service for clients in the London area. However, all our products are designed for local tradesman and DIY enthusiasts to be able to install, and because they will have been fully erected in our workshop and made to measure there is very little work to be done on site if correct dimensions have been supplied. Full fitting instructions are sent out with the staircases.
We typically offer our straight staircases in 700 mm, 800 mm or 1000 mm widths but can also produce them in specific widths as you require.

Yes, we can create entirely one-off custom castings at our foundry or work with steelwork partners to produce laser-cut steel panels.
Cast aluminium is virtually indistinguishable from cast iron but provides a number of benefits. It is typically much lighter (in some cases weighing around a third of a cast iron design). This makes them much easier to install and can also reduce the structural loading in existing buildings or the size of footing needed in gardens. It is also less brittle and offers excellent corrosion resistance.
Yes, we do. There is a full showroom at our workshop in Chapel-en-le-Frith. The Derbyshire showroom is open from 8 am – 4 pm Monday to Friday. We strongly encourage prospective clients to visit the showroom if they can so that they can see all the different options available and get a feel for the different diameters and quality of the product.
